A Note from Leah Corachea

Author: Leah Corachea

Dear ND Parents,

Welcome to a new academic year! My name is Leah Corachea, and I am thrilled to be the new Director of ND Parents. I look forward to meeting you all in the months to come.

In my new role, my goal is to keep you informed about campus happenings and connect you with opportunities of particular interest to our Notre Dame parents.

One such opportunity this year is the new Parents Fund, which benefits students right away, and enriches their undergraduate experience by helping to provide:

  • Campus Ministry retreats
  • Internships through the Center for Career Development
  • Intramural sports
  • Service projects
  • University counseling and wellness programming

Another new initiative sponsored by the Parents Fund is the Notre Dame Parents Hotline, which you can access for answers to your questions about campus life, events, and resources for students and parents. Starting on August 26th, every Monday through Thursday evening from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 3:15-7:15p.m ET, a team of students will be available to take your calls at 574-634-TALK (8255).

If you are interested in making a gift to the Parents Fund or joining the Sorin Society, you can do so at giving.nd.edu, or by reaching out to a member of our team at 574-631-5198.

As the academic year begins here, know what a privilege it is to welcome your student on campus and into the Notre Dame family. Thank you for entrusting your child to Notre Dame.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to be of help going forward. Thank you again for being part of the Notre Dame family.

Go Irish!
