The Parents Program has encouraged an initiative to celebrate our Notre Dame mothers, grandmothes and women.  On May 20, the Sunday after Mothers Day, six locations around the country will celebrate a Mass to honor the Mothers of Notre Dame.  Last year the Notre Dame Club of Orange County took the lead in announcing this Mass to its members.  This year, six Masses will be celebrated on May 20 to honor the Mothers and Women of Notre Dame.  What a beautiful tribute to our faith and to our mothers, that we can come together to honor them in this month of May, dedicated to Mary, Our Mother.  Read More

The Hawaii Club of Notre Dame sponsored a lu'au this spring and transported University students and guests to a mini-Hawaiian adventure. Parents from the Notre Dame Club of Hawaii picked and sent 250 lbs. of foliage which was used to decorate Stepan Center. Read More

The University of Notre Dame is the No. 4 “dream college” among parents of college applicants, the Princeton Review reported in its annual “College Hopes and Worries” survey.

Notre Dame's Bookstore Basketball Tournament ended April 29 with a victory for team "Hoops We Did It Again."  This final game was played April 29 in the pouring rain.  Bookstore Basketball is the largest outdoor 5-on-5 tournament in the world. Started in 1972, today there are nearly 700 teams comprised of students, faculty, and staff from Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College.  Read More

Bengal Bouts has begun!  Over 200 of our gentlemen have gone through weeks of intensive training and conditioning to enter the ring against their competitors.  Preliminaries began on February 12 and continue to finals on March 3.  For 82 years Notre Dame has offered a unique experience to get fit, engage in a one-on-one sport, and raise money for the Holy Cross missions in Bengladesh.  Read More

First Year Orientation 2011 had an added dimension this year:  an official program to greet the new Notre Dame parents!  The first effort of the newly created Parents Program was to invite parent volunteers to greet and welcome the freshman parents on move-in day, August 19.  Fifty Ministers of Hospitality were Notre Dame parents, many of whom drove in from the Chicago area, Michigan, and Indiana especially for this program. Each fall and winter the Career Center hosts a Career Fair.  The 2012 Winter Career Fair was held in early February.  Students who attended the Fair feel ready to enter the job market as a result of their preparation by the Career Center.  Companies who were represented at the Career Fair were eager to interview our students for internships and jobs, and applauded Notre Dame for being a "class act" in preparing students for the job market.  See what they had to say about our students and the Career Center Read More
